"United as daughters [children] of the Father, redeemed by the blood of our Savior, and empowered by the Holy Spirit as helper, we must worship. Lifting our eyes to heaven, we must continue on the path of repentance–confessing where we fail to see the glory of God in our lives. We must encourage each other to be women [people] of strong belief, bind our wandering hearts to the base of the cross, and steadfastly cling to his promises for redemption and provision–all for the purpose of reflecting his glory. Our lives must be an invitation of love to those who are lost." Source
As a young woman who has a heart for other young women, what is written above is one of the cries of my heart for the ladies who profess Christ. On a larger scale, though, it's really a cry for this generation as a whole, men and women alike. Applying these commands to our lives as followers of Jesus should be nonnegotiable; they should be instinctual. It's a challenge, but may we seek to live like this: that we, as children of God, would come together to worship Him with joy, authenticity, and vulnerability; that rather than tear one another down with words of gossip, jealousy, and hate, we would encourage one another with words of truth, wisdom, and love; that we ourselves would constantly look to the cross and challenge others to do the same; and that our lives would reflect the goodness and joy of Christ, thus leading others to Him.
And I hope and pray that this little space of the internet does that in its own way: points only to Jesus Christ, the perfect One, the holy One, the Savior of the world and my heart.
