Being a Disciple.

I watched this video a few days ago, and it has really stuck with me since.  I completely agree with what David Platt and Francis Chan say: that to be a true disciple of Christ, we need to be discipling others.

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you."
Matthew 28:19-20

The great commission.  It is is the biggest thing we are instructed to do as followers of Christ.  Yet, if we are being honest, how often do we succumb to a day-to-day life of safety, comfort, and complacency over boldness in the name and power of Christ with a passionate desire to bring others closer to Him?

"No prolonged infancies among us, please.  We'll not tolerate babes in the woods, small
children who are an easy mark for imposters.  God wants us to grow up, to know
the whole truth and tell it in love - like Christ in everything."
Ephesians 4:14-15, MSG
