Liebster Awards.

Yes, plural, as in I was just nominated for two Liebster Awards on the same day.  I'm pretty sure I have been nominated in the past, I've just never followed through on my end.  Blogger fail.  But now I will attempt to redeem myself as a part of this blogging community, sound good?  Alright, here goes...

11 Questions from Jessica at Forever Convinced:

1. When did you first start blogging and why did you decide to become a blogger?
In 2010 I began blogging, and I think I was just looking for an outlet to easily share what was going on my life and what I was learning with others.  That was when I stumbled upon the Christian blogging community... and the rest is history?

2. What is something awesome Jesus has done in your life lately?
He has planted some crazy dreams in my heart that are growing like crazy (I'll share more about it in the next few weeks)!  And He is continuing to remind me of His utter sovereignty over the entirety of my life so far.  It's awesome to see that, even when I didn't recognize Him as Lord, He was working everything perfectly together for who I am and where I am at right now, which only gives me encouragement for what might be next!

3.  How would you describe yourself in 6 words or less?
Fun.  Faithful.  Responsible.  Creative.  Practical.  Compassionate.

4. What is something you have never done that you have always wanted to do?
Many things!  Sky dive, travel Europe, drive a race car (this will happen in my lifetime, I swear), and go to the South... which is actually happening this summer!  Atlanta, I'm coming for you... and Nashville and Birmingham, too!!

5. If you could go to any concert you wanted for free, which one would you go to and why?
Gosh... well I'd love to see the full band from the Passion conferences, that would be sweet.  Also, T-Swift.

6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Likely still in ministry in some capacity, but probably in a different region of the United States.

7. What is your favorite place to shop at and why?
Target... my one stop shop.

8. If you could only eat one specific type of food (Mexican, Chinese, American, etc) for the rest of your life, what would you eat?
Mexican, though my dietary restrictions might say otherwise.

9. If you could hold on to just one memory from your life forever, what would that be?
Supporting my dad every weekend when he was a race car driver when I was young (see, it's in my blood, people).

10. Which TV show's world would you want to live?
Simply for the clothes, Gossip Girl.  Don't judge.

11. What are three things you look for in a future spouse?
Love of and for Christ; confidence in his calling, passions, and giftings; a heart for ministry.  I also would like to be attracted to him.  Yep.

11 Questions from Lauren at Marked By Grace:

1. Favorite Bible Verse?
Currently meditating on Psalm 46:5 - "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns."

2. If you aren't blogging what are you doing with your free time?
What's that?  Just kidding.  I am usually at church working or nannying, and if I am not doing that, I am probably at Starbucks reading the newest book on my shelf.

3. How much time do you spend blogging?
Not as much as I'd like to.  My life gets crazy quick and often, and my blog often gets put on the back burner.  I also don't have a blogging schedule or anything - which is weird because I am a schedule kind of person - but I've never been good at pre-planning blog posts.  Meh.

4. One piece of advice you would give your younger self?
Girl, you are beautiful, worthy, and already loved by the only One who can satisfy the desires of your heart.  Stop striving.  You are enough.

5. "Your Drink" at Starbucks?
Depends on the season.  6-pump no water Chai in the colder months, iced coffee with white mocha in the hotter months.

6. Your favorite-home-alone-in-sweatpants food?
Chocolate covered pretzels.  Shh, don't tell my doctor.

7. Favorite worship song?
Why are these kind of questions the hardest for me?  I'd say "From the Inside Out" by Hillsong.

8. What inspired you to start blogging?
See the first #1.

9. Half full-or-half empty?
Both.  Seriously, I see it both ways.  I have no idea what that says about me, but I'm okay not knowing the psychology behind it.

10. Favorite Weekend Activity?
Church, y'all!  Also, my Saturday mornings are my sabbath, and I so cherish that time.

11. I can't leave the house without......
My phone and chapstick. #boom

Shoot.  Now I am supposed to share 11 facts about myself... this is a stretch, friends.

1. I grew up on country music, and now it is almost all I listen to other than worship.  No haters allowed.
2. I classify myself as a "bubbly introvert."  I like people, and I do well in groups and in front of others, but most of the time they exhaust me.  Most people don't believe I'm an introvert, but put me in a crowd for 10 hours and you will see me fade real quick.  But give me some alone time and I'll be golden again in no time!
3. I learned how to drive when I was 11.  I also crashed a manual Jeep when I was 11.  No more stick-shifts for me.
4. Ironically enough, my first car was Jeep Wrangler, whom I affectionately referred to as "Gerard."  Don't worry, he was an automatic.
5. I used to sing at church in the youth worship band.  I told a friend this once, to which she jokingly replied, "Yeah, sometimes small churches get desperate."  Harsh, yes.  But also possibly true in my case.
6. I lied on my first driver's license... twice.  I said I was 5'7 with green eyes.  False.  I am barely 5'6 and I have hazel eyes.  I tried to fix them on my new license, and the guy still put green eyes.  Oh well, I tried, right?
7. I've had 11 dogs in my lifetime: Bambi, Brendel, Thumper, Willy, Kelsey, Trinity, Missy, Hunny, Chanel, Ace, and Ty.
8. I love organizing.  Everything.  In my life.
9. I sometimes feel a pressing need to pray for people in the spotlight for an extended period of time.  Like right now, it's... no, never mind.
10. I prefer the windows down (with the music loud) to having the A/C on in my car.
11. I cry easily, especially when someone is talking about what the Lord has done or is doing in their lives.  He is so good to us!

Okay, so now I am supposed to nominate people...  Can I change the rules?  Like is that allowed?  I would so much rather hear some testimonies of God's grace in your lives above anything else.  Is that okay?  I don't even know, but I am going to do it.  Rebel child right here, y'all.
